Mitral Regurgitation (MR) affects approximately 4 million people and is inherently challenging to assess and manage due to its heterogeneity, dynamic nature, and silent progression. As cardiologists are the front line of diagnosis, it is critical for them to be armed with sufficient knowledge to assess patients with MR to determine etiology, mechanism and severity to guide timely and optimal intervention strategies. The goal of this non-certified educational initiative is to address knowledge gaps in the assessment and management of MR to improve patient care.
