• Discuss the clinical impact of myocardial interstitial fibrosis in nonischemic heart failure.
• Recognize the different diagnostic techniques available for the noninvasive identification of myocardial interstitial fibrosis.
• Compare the antifibrotic potential of existing heart failure therapies.
