Taking the Lead: Flu and Cardiovascular Disease
Despite decades of medical history on the devastating impact of influenza and the importance of vaccinations, rates of vaccinations remain low and subspecialists are not strongly engaged in recommending vaccinations for higher risk patients. Education is needed for CV specialists to review the latest evidence that further supports the importance of influenza vaccination in patients with CVD and understand their role in ensuring these high-risk patients are vaccinated each year.
