Program Components

Educational Modules
A collection of short modules on bias, study design, statistics, and structuring a high-quality peer review.

Statistics Test

Participants must score 70% or better on a statistics exam in order to move on in the program.  Participants can take this test as many times as they like to achieve a passing score.

Practice Peer Reviews of Manuscripts
Evaluate initial drafts of real  JACC manuscript submissions and compare your assessment of their strengths and weaknesses to the original peer reviewers' assessments.  

Final Assessment

Complete your learning journey by submitting your final manuscript. Your final peer review submission ensures you demonstrate mastery of the course outcomes while meeting the final requirement for certification. Once your completed rubric is submitted, fill out the evaluation as the last requirement for earning your certificate and credits. 

Important Dates & Access Information
This activity is approved for CME credit for a three-year period in accordance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education requirements.

  • Date of Release: May 4, 2026
  • CME Term of Approval Ends: May 3, 2029

Learner Access:
Access to this activity is granted for six (6) months from the date of purchase. During this access period, learners must complete the activity and claim CME credit.
