Recognizing that guideline-directed histologic grading of endomyocardial biopsy tissue samples for rejection surveillance has limited diagnostic accuracy, quantitative, in situ characterization was performed of several important immune cell types in a retrospective cohort of clinical endomyocardial tissue samples.
