Listen to expert sonographer faculty as they review and discuss how to differentiate HCM cases that present similar features. This activity is part of the Advanced Concepts in Echocardiography for the Sonographer: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (ACE-HCM) course supported by Bristol Myers Squibb.

Learner Objectives:  
Upon completion of this activity, you should be able to: 

  1. Identify HCM pathophysiology.
  2. Identify key signs and symptoms of HCM.
  3. Identify the stepwise approach to a high-quality HCM echo.
  4. Select accurate settings (gain, resolution, frame rate, depth, probe orientation, etc.) in order to acquire high-quality images and loops for optimal measurements and interpretation.
  5. Effectively communicate detailed quantifications and clear interpretation to the recipient of the echo report.
