This activity was planned with a goal to change your competence in treating patients with HFpEF. This case was created in response to the 2017 ACC/AHA/HFSA Focused Update of the 2013 ACCF/AHA Guideline for the Management of Heart Failure.

Learner Objectives
Upon completion of this program, you should be able to:

• Identify a medication to consider for the reduction of heart failure hospitalizations in the heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) population.
• Avoid medications with proven lack of benefit in the HFpEF population.
• Explain appropriate inclusion criteria and post-therapy follow up of patients with HFpEF for whom therapy is considered.
