Use of AADs for Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation: Clinical Scenarios
Understanding and Reinforcing Guideline-Driven AF Care

This activity was planned with a goal to enable participants to understand atrial fibrillation care based on recent guidelines, with a focus on the role of antiarrhythmic drugs in early onset of atrial fibrillation. This activity is part of the Early Onset of Atrial Fibrillation & the Contemporary Use of Antiarrhythmic Drugs grant project supported by Sanofi.

Learner Objectives:  
Upon completion of this activity, you should be able to: 

  1. Contrast research by interpreting recent clinical trial data on rhythm control strategies and implications for patient care.

  1. Understand and reinforce guideline-driven AF care, with a focus on the role of antiarrhythmic drugs in early onset AF.  

  1. Recognize practical clinical considerations for treatment of early onsite AF by exploring patient case examples that illustrate the appropriate use of AADs into practice.
