This program provides practical information for for participants to be able to initiate an SGLT2i for their heart failure patients and incorporate therapy in an optimal timeframe.

Joint Accreditation


In support of improving patient care, the American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Statement
Physicians

The ACCF designates this MOD for a maximum of up to 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

While offering the CME credits noted above, this program is not intended to provide extensive training or certification in the field.


MOC Information


Successful completion of this CME/CNE/MOC activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.5 Medical Knowledge MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Nurses
The ACCF designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 continuing nursing education contact hours.  Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Pharmacists

ACCF designates this continuing education activity for 1.5 contact hours 1.5 CEUs of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

 This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.5 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.

CV team clinicians including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacists who manage patients with heart failure.

  • Establish a contemporary prescribing timeline including initiation, dosing, and monitoring of SGLT2 inhibitors
