Worldwide, there are an estimated 23 million people who are living with Heart Failure (HF), which has a prognosis poorer than many forms of cancers for both men and women.

Frontline nurses are integral members of the HF team that is responsible for patients and the care that they provide significantly impacts quality outcomes, particularly re-admission rates.

Given nurses’ significant impact on HF patient outcomes, the American College of Cardiology has created a professional certificate program that empowers nurses by broadening their understanding of the etiology and pathophysiology of HF, challenges their assumptions of evidenced-based practices, and arms them with practical, clinically relevant care strategies and communication skills needed to care for this complex patient population.

Learner Recognition:
Participants who complete all of the lessons and pass the final exam will be eligible to receive a digital badge certificate that may be used on social media, incorporated in a resume, or printed as a traditional certificate for display to peers and colleagues. Learners must answer at least 70% of questions correctly in order to pass the final exam. They will have three attempts to reach or exceed this score.
