What You Will Learn

• Discuss the challenges of overall cardiology care in the presence of comorbid conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and heart failure, and other patient considerations.
• Identify current and emerging anti-obesity medications (AOMs) and their role in improving cardiovascular health
• Develop appropriate weight-management care plans that include lifestyle interventions and pharmacologic strategies such as AOMs.  
• Consider the roles and responsibilities of the cardiology interprofessional care team when managing patients with obesity.
