Iron Deficiency in Heart Failure Patients: Optimizing Detection and Treatment 

Upon completion, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the high prevalence of iron deficiency in heart failure and its impact on patient outcomes. 
  • Identify the impact of IV iron therapy on exercise capacity, quality of life, and overall function.
  • Demonstrate the ability diagnose iron deficiency in heart failure patients based on clinical guidelines and diagnostic criteria.
  • Apply skills in patient education and shared decision-making related to IV iron therapy, empowering patients to actively participate in their iron deficiency management in heart failure.
