Exercise Testing to Unmask Latent LVOT Obstruction ...
Exercise Testing to Unmask Latent LVOT Obstruction in a Highly Symptomatic Patient with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (JACC July 2024-2)
Description
Rest imaging in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) may underestimate or miss left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction, leading to suboptimal management decisions that negatively impact symptomatic patients. The 2024 HCM Guidelines describe exercise stress testing as an important tool to determine overall exercise tolerance and latent, exercise-provoked LVOT obstruction.
