Autoimmune Disorders in Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction (JACC Heart Failure July 2024)
Description

Inflammation plays a fundamental role in the pathogenesis of heart failure (HF) with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). In most patients, inflammation develops secondary to cardiometabolic comorbidities, but in some, HFpEF develops in the setting of an underlying systemic inflammatory disease such as rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus.
