Cardiovascular imaging is the cornerstone of the assessment of patients with heart failure. Although noninvasive volumetric estimation of the cardiac function is an essential and indisputably useful clinical tool, cardiac imaging has evolved and matured to offer detailed functional, hemodynamic, and tissue characterization.
