The 2023 American College of Cardiology's Certified Cardiovascular Knowledge Examination (CCKE) for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) will be held from November 16, 12:01 a.m. ET to November 19, 11:59 p.m. ET. The exam will be accessible 24 hours a day during this period. Candidates should start the exam early to avoid time constraints.<br /><br />The exam comprises five sections, each containing 30 questions, and candidates will have 90 minutes (3 minutes per question) to complete each section. A total of up to 7.5 hours is allotted for answering questions. Candidates can take breaks between sections, with up to 24 hours of break time allowed.<br /><br />Before the exam, candidates should:<br />- Take the Performance Readiness Check and the CCKE Sample Exam in the CCKE Hub to reduce technical difficulties and become familiar with the exam format.<br />- Ensure they have Chrome, Edge, or Safari installed on their desktop or laptop (not Firefox). Cell phones and tablets should not be used.<br />- Avoid using VPNs, as they could slow down the process.<br />- Use the resources available in the CCKE Hub to prepare.<br /><br />During the exam, if immediate assistance is needed, candidates can:<br />- Use the Live Chat icon available from 6 a.m. to midnight ET.<br />- If Live Chat is not accessible, they can call ACC at 800-253-4636.
