While a wealth of real-world data is generated daily, it must be leveraged strategically to generate impactful evidence. In this lesson, the presenter will explain the unique terminology related to the use of RWD and the generation of RWE, and will examine novel sources of real world data and how researchers can make use of them.

Upon completetion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Compare and contrast the terminology related to the generation and use of RWD and RWE.
• Compare and contrast real-world data sources and understand their potential role in real-world evidence generation by studying cardiovascular case examples.
