Case Challenges: Managing Resistant Hypertension
Description

This activity was planned with a goal to enable participants to evaluate and select evidence-based interventions to overcome hypertension challenges including patient adherence, intensification of GDMT, and resistant hypertension. This activity is part of the Overcoming Challenges in Hypertension Management grant project.

MOC Information 
 
 

Successful completion of this certified activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 0.5 Medical Knowledge MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. 
 
Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

  1. Recognize resistant hypertension management strategies including a step-wise approach to GDMT as well as triggers for referring to a hypertension specialist.
