Learner Objectives
Upon completion of this program, you should be able to:

• Discuss outcomes of key trials on sodium-glucose luminal cotransporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors and glucagon-like peptide-1 analogue (GLP-1RA) medications for patients with diabetes and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
• Explain which cardiac patients would benefit from SGLT-2 inhibitors or GLP-1Ras.
• Follow the decision pathway for choosing the best medication for diabetic patients.
• Describe side effects and risks of these medications.
