MOC Information



Successful completion of this CME/MOC activity, which includes participation in the posttest component, enables the participant to earn up to 0.5 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.


Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

This activity is intended for CV team clinicians including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacist who identify and treat the anticoagulation needs for patients with Afib, PAD, VTE, and COVID.

Learner Objectives
Upon completion of this program, you should be able to:

  • Select guideline-driven OACs including initiation, dosing, and management, especially pre- and post-PCI. 
  • Assess and develop an anticoagulation treatment plan for PAD patients. 
  • Identify anticoagulation drug, dosage, and duration for the VTE patient. 
  • Evaluate the acute to long-term anticoagulation needs of the COVID-19 patient.
